Piper Cleaners and beads.
Place a piece of tape with a number on it to the pipe cleaner and the children put that number of beads onto the pipe cleaner. You can go as high as your child can go.
Place numbers on paper and make a box around it. Children can trace over your number. They can place stickers to match the number or color in that many dots.
Have cupcake pans? Label each pan with a number and the children can add small items to match, pom poms or beads would work best! Or you can add it as a snack and have them count with popcorn or goldfish.
Check out the number worksheets on the printables page!
Write down numbers on separate papers, and have your children match the numbers by building legos or blocks. Count them together!
Children can roll dice and count the dots.
Older children can count the dots and then write the number down.
You can also add one-on-one correspondence by adding items (cars, snacks, etc) for them to count after rolling that number.
Have a stack of Uno or playing cards around? Playing Go Fish and Uno are both games where they have to match the numbers. As you play have the children tell you each number.
